Social Democracy

Jun 2, 2020 ,

It is clear to those who open their eyes just a little, that America has become a socialistic nation. The term “republic” as used today refers to a representative democracy with an elected head of state, such as a president, serving for a limited term. Even in a republic, it’s the voice of the majority that rules through chosen representatives; however, there is a charter or constitution of basic rights that protects the minority from being completely unrepresented or overridden. When you just say Democrats, you are making a statement that you believe all of them to believe such things. Now if you actually took some time to determine which percentage of the party believes the claims you make, like I did with the 44 of 233, then your statements would be more believable. Quoting people like AOC, and saying she is a leader within our party, to apply that to the majority of the party is dishonest, at best. You see her as a leader because your media has a giant hardon for her because she is a young, attractive, minority woman with fringe views. Motives are the causes or reasons that induce a person to form the intent to commit a crime. They are not the same as intent. Rather, they explains why the person acted to violate the law. For example, knowledge that one will receive insurance funds upon the death of another may be a motive for murder, and sudden financial difficulty may be motive for embezzlement or burglary. Kleptocracy is a form of government in which the ruling party has either come to power, retained power, or both, through means of corruption and theft. This is not a form of government that a ruling class would ever self-apply but a pejorative term used to describe a group whose power rests on a foundation of embezzlement, misappropriation of funds, and the transfer of massive amounts of wealth from public to private interests. These private interests will typically overlap the ruling party’s own economic interests. 94 See, eg, Joanna Shapland et al, Victims in the Criminal Justice System (Gower Publishing, 1985); Heather Strang, Repair or Revenge: Victims and Restorative Justice (Clarendon Press, 2002) 302; Malini Laxminarayan et al, ‘Victim Satisfaction with Criminal Justice: A Systematic Review’ (2013) 8 Victims and Offenders 119, 141. Historians believe that the Romans developed civil law around 600 C.E., when the emperor Justinian began compiling legal codes. Current civil law codes developed around that Justinian tradition of codifying laws as opposed to legal rulings. In 1990, Miles and other university employees went public with a report criticizing the school for not doing enough to hire and promote Black faculty and staff. It said administrators had substituted meaningless rhetoric” for meaningful progress,” noting that the number of Black employees had increased by only six from 1975 to 1988.
